“Emarginazione della storia e nuove storie” is the title the last work (2018) written by Giuseppe Galasso, that we can consider as a sort of his intellectual legacy. By starting from this Galasso’s dissertation, the article focused on the news and most problematic future perspectives of historiographical debate, that could be synthetized as follow: -the trend towards interdisciplinarity, surely desirable in some cases, but, in general, very dangerous for the disciplinary methodologies; -The “giant revison” (according Galasso) concerning the traditional historical categories, points of interpretative orientation and strong ideas.
